So, I had a final call back with Disney on March 6th, the day before I left for tour, and an audition with a tv network based in Albany, looking for a host for their series set to be shot in Virginia!

Well, while on tour, I’ve since heard from both of them!!!  Disney called and wanted to meet me for April 3rd.  I reluctantly had to leave a message letting them know that my current contract with Oz doesn’t end until May 22nd.  Luckily, not only does Disney send out tours often, but they keep call-backs on file for up to a year.  I’m sure if it’s meant to be, that I will get a call from them again, and hope they’ll appreciate the fact that I’m remaining loyal to my current contract. 

I also got a call from the TV Network and got the hosting job!  I get back from the Wizard of Oz tour on May 22nd, and fly out to Virginia on June 3rd to begin filming!

We spent the day yesterday in Boston, as we performed at Berklee today.  Our largest venue to date was The New Neward Symphony Hall.  We performed for 1400 people!!! It was surreal!!!  I still can’t believe I’m doing this for a ilving right now.  I’m having a great time.

Well, ’till later…

I woke up around 5am on Wed. 3/7 to catch the 7am bus from Port Authority, to head to Philadelphia for the Wizard of Oz tour.  As many of you know, I accepted the role of Tin Man, in AFT’s tour. 

While waiting on the line to board the bus, Julie (formerly Patty Pig in Three Little Pigs–small world!) and I, were chatting about the tour, and what to expect, etc, when other people on the line overheard and asked if we were apart of the AFT, Wizard cast.  So, it turned out, 5 of the 7 people in the cast were all right there on line.  We quickly became friends and chatted about any and everything on the 2-hr ride into Philadelphia. 

We went straight to the studio and immediately began rehearsing!  We knew we had a tough week ahead of us.  It has been pretty intense.  We have a 24-hr fitness center here at the hotel and I’ve been meaning to use it, but each night after our 9-hr day of rehearsing and repeating involved choreography, I just never feel the need to!

We have very long days rehearsing, but the cast has really jelled, and we spend our evenings just hanging out, chatting, rehearsing more ofcourse, and going out to eat!  We have 7 days here and our first show is on 3/14.  Then we leave that day to our next city, and keep that going until 5/22! ahh! 

It’s been a great experience thus far, and I’m really glad I accepted the role.  It’s really been a test; sort of like theatre “boot camp.”  And as for just meeting all these people and spending the next 3 months with them all, my current roommate, Chris, put it the best when he said, “it’s sort of a ghetto version of the real world!”  And boy is it.
